Los Suaves Los Suaves

Unemployed

In the morning
you arrive at the dark and cold factory
The machine is stopped
sadly emitting ruin
From the office comes down the boss, saying:
"My children, there's no work.
No orders, I have to close,
I hide nothing from you, they're coming to seize
tomorrow".

It's the end, everything is over
You look at each other in horror.
The silent machine,
clenched fists, thinking...
thinking.

Already six months without pay
unemployment benefits exhausted,
coward money hides,
companies have closed.
For half the salary
you've offered, it's the same.
Three million unemployed
statistics and you one more.

For the last time you try,
you think to ask, you have your hand out.
You also make it to the bridge
but you can't, your time has not come.

Desperate wait,
your wife at the door.
The credit is maxed out,
there's no food at home.
"What's up?" she asks when you arrive.
You don't answer and stay silent,
lowering your head
you go pale up to the house.

Your daughter upstairs doesn't sleep,
she hasn't eaten anything since yesterday,
she thinks her mother went down
to buy bread at the store next door.

You both enter the house,
the girl looks at your hands.
Surprised to see nothing,
she stays quiet and goes to bed crying.
The father is in a corner
head in his hands.
The mother stays silent, turns on the gas,
dry eyes, sits next to him.

It's the end, everything is over
You look at each other in horror.
The silent machine,
clenched fists, thinking...
thinking.
