Al Estilo Mexicano

In my blood, I carry the customs of my race
I live my life in Mexican style
I gamble my luck on the legs of a horse
And seal a deal with a handshake

I've traveled every inch of Aztec land
I know flowers from different gardens
Many of them have intoxicated me with their sweetness
And to this day, none have managed to spoil me

I might hook up with a big girl from Chihuahua
In Veracruz, I court a woman from the coast
I steal a kiss from a fair-skinned girl from Durango
Or in Tamaulipas, I charm a brunette

I'll have a beer up north
Or sip pulque in the Bajío lands
I'll go to San Luis to taste their colonche
Or have some good tequila if I'm in Jalisco

I tame horses and I can also cockfight
I dress as a charro and sometimes as a cowboy
If I have a date with a lady, I never fail
And I never leave my gun and my hat

I'm a gentleman, a fulfiller by excellence
I'm very proud but never abusive
I have no preference with women
I'm with all of them, exclusive to none

You might see me in Michoacán or in Sonora
I listen to norteño and banda music alike
I enjoy mezcal as much as bacanora
To party with my friends

With the mariachi, I stay up all night at the cockfighting ring
And in the game, I don't care if I win or lose
I don't follow rules, I do as I please
Because I live in Mexican style
