El Reportero
Los Tigres del Norte
The Reporter
(Who knows about reporter Sánchez Lara?
Well, none of us here are aware)
I'm living in the mountains, hoping they don't find me
Because the laws are after me, like any criminal
For writing in the press, the tricks of a president
Looking for smugglers, the federal agents found me
I told them I'm a journalist, and they saw my credentials
They turned out to be very noble, as they didn't want to take me
There are those who work, to serve my homeland
Others pretending to help, turn out to be rats
And when someone discovers them, if they don't lock him up, they kill him
They devalued the currency, before they changed it to dollars
Overnight, there are few millionaires
While the people sink, as their salary is not enough
I'm a reporter and I write, only what has happened
Mexico is a great country, and there's no denying it
Because it's been robbed for three centuries, and they haven't finished
Everyone fits the bill, if they're filling their bags
Don't take the money, elsewhere to keep
If you get rich in Mexico, you should spend it here
