Flor Del Río
Los Tigres del Norte
River Flower
One morning, sad and rainy
I met a young woman
I saw her beautiful in her window
Like a rose from my garden
What's your name, lovely brunette
With all my soul, I asked her
How beautiful you have all your face
Your beautiful hair, let me see
I'm Mexican, I have my parents
When you talk to them, I will love you
I'm a river flower, by my last name
Because by name, they call me flower
We were happy, for 5 months
For the many times, I kissed her
But one afternoon, when I went to look for her
To my misfortune, I didn't find her
Near the town, they told me
That she had died of a broken heart
That they buried her, there in the orchard
Near the temple of the assumption
Now I understand, that my affection
Was a river flower, beautiful illusion
And her memory, is my torment
It has me wounded, in the heart
