Por lo menos hoy
Los Tigres del Norte
At least today
Early in the morning
I always say a prayer
Seven days a week
Wherever I go
It's something I've learned
And I want to teach today
That's why I don't forget
What I've been and what I am
At least today
I will gladly go to work
Even if my work
Starts from the bottom
I won't leave
Tasks halfway
If I can finish them today
Without thinking about what I earn
At least today
I'll be like anyone else
Like the great lord
Or like the one who plows the land
I will give thanks
For living in freedom
Not being in a hospital
Or inside a trench
At least today
I would like to be a missionary
And to the youth
Preach by example
To be an exemplary father
To be able to talk to my son
Teach him that the home
Is respected like a temple
At least today
I will think that there are no tyrants
And that there is equality
Among human beings
That there is no longer terror
Nor the horror of war
May the peace of El Salvador
Last for many years
That in Peru
There are not many children like you
Living in slavery
And dying in swamps
And that it is worth more
To give them freedom and peace
Than the diamond you are
Showing off in your hands
