Pueblo Querido
Los Tigres del Norte
Beloved Town
Today I find myself very far, very far
From the land where I was born
From my parents and my siblings
And from the neighborhood where I grew up
Nostalgia tears apart my soul
And I wish to see them again
Memories turn into sadness
Sadness makes me cry
Through tears, it seems like I see
My town and my sweet home
And also my blessed mother
Who undoubtedly prays for me
I yearn with all my being
To return to my beloved town
And my God will grant it to me
To die there with my own
(It's very sad to be absent
From the land where one was born
And even sadder if the friends
And loved ones are not present
That destiny made us leave behind
It kills the soul like nothing else
I have wandered through big cities
Through their brightly lit streets
But I have never forgotten my town
And I don't plan on forgetting it for anything
Even if it has adobe houses
And a few cobblestone streets)
I yearn with all my being
To return to my beloved town
And my God will grant it to me
To die there with my own
