Mi Cruz No Es Pesada
Los Trigales
My Cross Is Not Heavy
I asked myself a thousand times
Without being able to understand
Why my cross always bent
My suffering walk
And I spoke with God looking at the sky
And with anguish I exclaimed
Why, Lord, why
Is my cross heavy
But God made me
Understand the reality
How wrong I was
When I wanted to leave my cross
And little by little and with patience
The Lord showed me
That the cross He granted me
Was not so heavy
And He showed me Christ crowned
With thorns on the cross
Stephen forgiving
His executioners when dying
Paul writing
In a damp prison
And I could hear the glorious chant
Of God's martyrs
Then I understood
That my cross was not hard here
And I said oh Lord, Lord, forgive me
The cross becomes heavier
If we stop praying
Without the power of His word
It is impossible to walk
Shadows of doubt and discouragement
Seem to stop
My selfless journey
Towards the city of light
If we surrender ourselves
On God's altar
If we renounce this world
To do His will
On that day when we arrive
At the shores of Zion
For eternal life and for a crown
Our cross will be exchanged
And He showed me Christ crowned
With thorns on the cross
Stephen forgiving
His executioners when dying
Paul writing
In a damp prison
And I could hear the glorious chant
Of God's martyrs
Then I understood
That my cross was not hard here
And I said oh Lord, Lord forgive me
Lord forgive me, Lord forgive me
Lord forgive me
