Rainha Do Paraná
Lourenço e Lourival
Queen of Paraná
When spring arrives
I see my humble home
All adorned with flowers
The rose reminds me
Of the port of Paranaguá
That nest of loves
From the church of Rocio
Where the pilgrim asked
For a grace and obtained it
There is nothing more divine
Than the crystal clear dew
Of the night that calmed
It was the month of November
The story says, I remember
Nature flourished
In a beautiful field of roses
A miraculous Saint
Appeared one night
There they built a sanctuary
Where the Virgin of the Rosary
Attended to the afflicted
With the dew that fell
Holy Virgin of Rocio
Received this name
When the sailors arrive
Our Brazilian brothers
At the port of Paranaguá
When they leave the ship
They go to the church of Rocio
To implore its blessings
Asking for happiness
For the storms to end
That pour down on the sea
They ask for peace and protection
So that the bread never lacks
On the table of a poor home
Holy Virgin of Rocio
Who sees you and who saw you
Will never forget
Your profound miracles
That to the children of this world
You never tire of showing
For the grace received
The promised memory
The pilgrims will take
To the Immaculate Lady
Who was once proclaimed
The queen of Paraná
