Old Gate
As I passed through the old gate
I felt my land closer to me
I was crying from emotion
Because my anguish was coming to an end
I confess it was my dream
To see the farm where I grew up
I couldn't wait for the moment to hug again
My dear people that I once left behind
What a cruel surprise awaited me
Seeing how the farm had changed
Almost everyone had moved away
And the old colony was left deserted
The friends who still remain
Have changed so much I didn't recognize them
And they didn't know me or even realize
That the years went by and I grew old
And you, my old gate
You're not the same as I left you
Your posts rotted by time
I found them fallen on the ground too
I no longer hear your creaking
Your sad groan brings back memories
Gate, in reality, you are the longing
For the childhood days that won't come back anymore
