The Three Girlfriends
I had three girlfriends in my life
The first one was Rosana at five years old
I was her age and imagined
That life was just a little toy
One day she left and I was crying
The first disappointment I felt very early
In the innocence of a child, I didn't understand
Why life broke our toy
The second girlfriend lasted much less
I was fourteen and so was she
I remember how much we suffered in the farewell
For understanding the thorns that life has
I knew that losing a love in life
It's very difficult to recover one day
And I only found it again in the arms of another
When she walked into the church to get married
The third one I was already twenty years old
And God took her away forever
That was the biggest blow I had in my life
For living in two such unequal worlds
I may still find the first one someday
The second one may one day divorce
The third one I will never see again because
From heaven, there is no way to return
