My country/ is green and misty
It's nostalgic and ancient,/ it's a land and a soil.
My country/ farmer and fisherman
It's a timeless corner/ that sleeps in the fog.

What warms by the fireplace,/ echoes in the oak grove
Makes you laugh.
And a leaf in the wind/ breath and despair,
My country.

My country/ weaving its history,
Dancing and running/ hides its truth.
My country/ greets the open sea
Listens to the wind/ and starts to walk.

Towards nameless goals/ go lines of men
And endlessly.
Sad fields from somewhere,/ paths to nowhere,
My country.

My country/ on winter nights
Draws its agony/ in an old man and a boy.
My country/ of legends and dreams
Awaits new days/ moving slowly.

Through the hills and legacies
Hope is born and dies/ in the future.
And a leaf in the wind/ breath and despair
