Because of a cunning woman
I lost my peace,
She stuck a thorn in me
That I can't pull out.

Since she had no 'conscience'
And was a bad woman...
She ran off with her love
To never return again.

By the edge of the river,
In the shade of a pepper tree...
Her love was all mine
One blue morning.

And then in the canoe
We went sailing...
How beautifully the water moved
When I kissed her again.

But they say time erases
The sorrows of love,
