And on the altar, the dark Christ is blessing
From His heart, the Lord of Luren pours out another miracle
Pretty birds fly to their islands to dream
Fishermen singing in chorus
As they dance their nets in the sea

Farmers plowing through their gardens
Miners digging their veins with joy
And in Talara, the tar and flour
Sway like a child rocked by Huascarán
And the great Amazon dresses up in splendor
With Machu Picchu and Sacsayhuamán
Covered in glory, they live in history
Beautiful Arequipa and heroic Tacna
