Reminiscences
The other night while going through some letters,
That lovingly I keep in my archive,
Among withered petals, I found,
A portrait that is a symbol of passion.
Looking at it was like waking up for me,
The memory of those hours I lived.
When everything was obsessions,
A thousand longings of tenderness,
And the memory of an eternal frenzy.
Today I understand that those hours are over.
That it's useless to disguise appearances,
That the affection two souls swore to each other,
Takes the path of oblivion,
Without shelter and without love.
Let's not blame destiny, that's not noble.
Let's understand that there are mistakes that are fierce.
Let's reflect when pledging our affections,
Before saying I love you,
As I will never love you.
