Prisoner Number Nine
Prisoner number nine is going to confess
He is praying in the cell with the prison priest
Because before dawn his life will be taken away
Because he killed his wife and a disloyal friend
He says so, when confessing
I killed him, yes sir
And if he is born again
I'll kill him again
Father, I have no regrets
I'm not even afraid of eternity
I know that up there in heaven
The supreme being will judge us

Prisoner number nine was a very upright man
He went to his hut very happy on the night of the duel
But when he looks at his love. In the arms of his rival
Resentment burned in his chest. And he could not bear it
