El Borracho
Luis Alfonso Partida (El Yaki)
The Drunkard
Everyone looks at me and gossip
When they see me arriving
Watch out, the drunkard is here
I always bring the cooler loaded with
Pure light brown beers
Salt and lemon for micheladas
A reposado 1800 for thirsty friends
And a good liquor for the ladies
Who are calm and serious
I bring eggnog from the nuns
Just in case there are virgins
And that's not all I have in the cooler
Tequila, rum, and mineral water
Pineapple juice for mezcal
For the buddies who are not in the mood
A drink that gives you wings
To mix it with a little whiskey
If the girls want to party
I brought tamarind vodka
I offer them whatever they want
I don't care what they say when I pass by
There goes the drunkard, stumbling
The whole crowd is following him
There goes the drunkard, with the cooler
He doesn't care who he pulls along when he's drunk
There goes the drunkard! That's my nickname
And as long as the party continues, I keep raising my elbow
