Still Here
Who walks with the poor on their journey? Tell me.
Who brings them together and fights for life? Tell me.
So many good people overcoming misery without resorting to violence;
that reminds me of Acts 2:42.
Who inspired Romero with those homilies? Tell me.
And who motivates Mother Teresa? Tell me.
So many good people doing beautiful things, no, that’s just coincidence;
that rather proves that the Spirit of God is still here.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
The Spirit of God is still here (x2)
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Let the whole world know that the Spirit of God is still here.
Who gives our kids so much energy? Tell me.
Where do all these crazy catechists come from? Tell me.
So many good people giving extra time without asking for rewards;
that’s like Acts 4:32.
Who put the same message in so many melodies? Tell me;
if even the authors didn’t know each other, tell me.
So many good people tuning beautiful notes to uplift our Church;
so Arjona knows the Spirit of God is still here.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
The Spirit of God is still here (x2)
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Let the whole world know that the Spirit of God is still here.
Despite the struggles, the signs of contradiction,
all the many mistakes for which we’ve lost forgiveness,
I have no more doubts, You are still with us, Lord,
because that’s the only way to explain so many beautiful people, so much struggle, so much love.
Who sends John Paul II on all his visits? Tell me.
Who is speaking today through Mary? Tell me.
So many good people doing beautiful things, no, that’s not coincidence;
that rather proves that the Spirit of God is still here.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
The Spirit of God is still here (x2)
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Let the whole world know that the Spirit of God is still here.
