Sonho Em Flor

Luiz Marenco Luiz Marenco

Dream In Bloom

For a long time I've been waking up early to almost unintentionally write verses
For the soul to remember your way of not forgetting you
And to bring around the fire more memories of you
Those that we, after the moons
Brewed mate to dawn

It seems like even the same mate forgot its taste
After an old longing revealed your face
And a way that brought the shine of a dark-eyed gaze
Started populating my small dreams
That had whims of being yours

Ah! My little flower
From those that are born in the corners
Bringing the grace of the cork trees
Adorning the afternoon for being so beautiful
Let my dream wake yours up
And my silence lull you to sleep
When longing comes to see me
With your smile at my window

Whenever my many dreams go out there
And take my soul close to you
I keep my silences well
Because they know they are only mine
And almost no longer fit in the big house of the heart

And I, who walked so far, found myself in me
Without even realizing that life can be like this
Having the grace of a beautiful flower, from those cork trees
And at the same time being completely
Everything that has been dreamed

Ah! My little flower
That keeps too many dreams
Let the soul show your path
That is now close to mine
Bring your smile of a red flower
And that shine of your gaze
All the longing to be satisfied
As the day has not yet turned into night
