Refugio
Catupecu Machu
Refuge
There must be some refuge
To hide from this fierce storm
Of questions of answers.
I don't know who to ask
Or maybe just stay silent
Or visit old places
Or stay still,
Close my eyes and come to see
The cloak, the cloak covering you,
I saw you, I saw myself.
And we were together contemplating the silence
Searching once and a hundred times
Between the river and the very sea,
And it was the rains, their water and the winds
Traveling, playing, eroding,
And today we are rock and tomorrow sands
Bathed by the waters
Of this very sea of fears.
I don't want to go back,
I want to find the photos of time
About past, recent, distant times
In times of fury and calm.
I am what awaits me there.
Wait for me there.
Today my wish
Is to be able to wish you well
Wherever you are.
That you're well, that you're well.
