Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires
It starts to bother me that it's cold in the city
I can't stop turning off that alarm clock
Tired of waiting, smoking alone on the balcony
Imagining that someone is coming to get me
I know that heavy feeling of loneliness
But who are we waiting for?
Cheap melancholy on the television
Where does that which we pray for go?
That night I turned into an animal
I could be an apprentice of that longed-for freedom
It's Sunday, I don't want to get up
The doorbell rings, and it's raining outside
It starts to bother me that it's cold in the city
I can't stop turning off that alarm clock
Tired of waiting, smoking alone on the balcony
Imagining that someone is coming to get me
I turned off the phone without warning
Why should I apologize?
In the end, we all seek to escape
I hear someone calling me from outside
And I don't know what to do
It starts to bother me that it's cold in the city
I can't stop turning off that alarm clock
Tired of waiting, smoking alone on the balcony
Imagining that someone is coming to get me
What will happen out there?
I started to get used to that noise from the sidewalk
I can rewind and pause what happens
But at 3 in the morning
We all look at each other when it rains in the city
