Supermercado
Mama Pulpa
Supermarket
I've gone several days without a bite
And the worst part is I don't have a dime
No friends, no family
To invite me over for a decent meal
So I decided to hit up a supermarket
Not to steal, just to borrow a bit
A little ham and maybe some bread
And while I'm at it, a chunk of that American cheese
And I know stealing is a serious crime
But honestly, I just don't care
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
Since I don't have a buck
And since I have no room in my jacket
I stroll over to the clothes, moving real slow
I rip the tag off a trench coat and
Now I can fit those cans of sardines
I swipe a few CDs and some napkins
A bottle of perfume and a box of cookies
A stapler and a Chinese drill
A can of coffee and a carton of wine
And I start convincing myself this ain't a crime
I'm even thinking of taking the cart
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
Since I don't have a buck
I was just stashing some toilet paper
When a really strange guy approached me
He said kindly, "Young man, we noticed
That in that trench coat, you’ve got the whole store"
He takes me to a back room to interrogate me and
In an instant, the guy's nice demeanor fades
He starts grilling me about everything
From where I live to what my nickname is
And when he asks why I stole from them
I can only think to reply that
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
Since I don't have a buck
I steal everything from the supermarket
