En Los Desiertos Por Habitar
Manolo Garcia
In the Deserts to Inhabit
On the balconies of a deserted sea,
In the deserts to inhabit
I want to live asleep awake
In the deserts to inhabit.
On the sun of your rooftops
I want to live, town of mountains, on burlap.
Like the stray cats of the pine forest.
Following the steps of the shepherds towards the heights;
On the cliffs floating scents of tender loves.
On the balconies of a deserted sea
In the deserts to inhabit
I want to live asleep awake
In the deserts to inhabit.
Following the steps of the muleteers
Who belong to the wind.
With their ownerless dogs.
Changing horizons, changing growing,
In the turbulence of the uncertain journey,
Of the joyful green river, fleeting
In the serene starry night.
Of this old train.
Of this old train without destination or schedule
That will not shrink from the plain to the slope.
On the balconies of a deserted sea,
In the deserts to inhabit
I want to live asleep awake
In the deserts to inhabit.
