Azucar Al Cafe
Manuel Garcia
Sugar in the Coffee
At dawn the tree gave its flower
And the bird sang in all its splendor
Your song.
And upon waking up I couldn't say two
But I remembered how your voice was
Saying love.
Flowers are spinning around you again
Spinning like foam in the coffee
Flowers are spinning around you again
And I thought of your face while I washed
And I saw you again in the water
That went away.
Rains are falling around you too
Falling like sugar falls into coffee
Rains are falling around you too.
And the afternoon was even clearer because
I walked aimlessly until I found myself
At the port.
And at dusk I believed to see in the sky
And at dusk I believed to see in the sky
Your eyes.
Your eyes.
Before going to bed and dreaming afterwards
Before going to bed and dreaming afterwards
With you.
I write this letter and have a coffee
And in its foam spins what I couldn't
Tell you very well,
Tell you very well.
