Faded Countenance

I have seen your faded countenance
As if wanting to faint on the journey
If the cross has wounded your weak shoulders
And you find it very heavy
To bear!

Lift up your eyes, see the glory that awaits you
With the pains it cannot be compared
The weeping may last for a night
The joy will dawn tomorrow!

Many winds have blown in opposition
Fiercely lashing your ship!
Do not forget that the groaning on Calvary
Precedes us in the Pentecostal fervor!

When you look at the wounds on your shoulders
Caused by your steps on the cross
Do not be led by the terrors
For Jesus' shoulders were also wounded

It is certain that one day we will see Him
Among the crowds in the celestial space
There we will sing glorious hymns
We will never have tears
Here the sun sets, the cloud passes
There will be no night
Here in life everything is temporary
There eternal joy
Will last!

Keep going, amidst songs and joys
Until we reach the banks of the Jordan
Where then you will hear the melodies
Of the angels waiting for you in Zion

When you look among stones and diamonds
Shining feet and hands of my Jesus
They are signs of the hard flaming nails
That wounded and killed Him on the cross!!

It is certain that one day we will see Him
Among the crowds in the celestial space
There we will sing glorious hymns
We will never have tears
Here the sun sets, the cloud passes
There will be no night
Here in life everything is temporary
There eternal joy
Will last!
