Missions
Many desire missions but lack the courage to react,
Even what is called stays there motionless, unwilling to decide.
Time keeps passing by, years come and go and never return.
And as youth fades, age arrives, and you don't go.
To go abroad, you need money to sustain yourself.
Many have moved, not concerned about surviving.
But when homesickness for the beloved land where you were born strikes,
You cry but don't give up because you see your work flourishing.
Chorus: missions, missionary desire
Born on Calvary, it's within me
Missions burn my heart
I will say, here I am, Lord, I am in your hands.
I have risen in the early morning so desperate, unable to sleep,
Remembering the lost souls crying without being able to smile;
And many with arms crossed, so unconcerned, do not reach out
Leaving the souls begging outside to go to perdition.
