Moderno À Moda Antiga
Marcela Taís
Modern in an Old-fashioned Way
They say it's tacky to get married
Risky to get involved
That there's no time for the table to sit
Many colleagues, few friends
Dialogues full of monosyllables
We want to make money so badly
But we forget that it can't buy
The moments we lose
Why are good manners disappearing?
And values diluting?
The essential being put second
And loves not concluding
They're taking love out of the world
And what will remain for my children?
They're changing everything
Love has cooled in the world
Maybe inside out is my right side
Because I don't see myself in this blind world
I still believe in love
And my faith is not philosophy
Don't take it the wrong way
But I don't enjoy carnival
I ask for blessings for my parents
I believe in family
I have a modern heart in an old-fashioned way
I know, I know
That all this will pass
And I also know that all this will remain
And what we will leave
Besides memories, faithful kisses
Hugs and ties, our children
In the end, what will matter won't be the price
But the value
Inside out is my right side
I don't see myself in this blind world
I still believe in love
And my faith is not philosophy
Don't take it the wrong way
But I don't enjoy carnival
I ask for blessings for my parents
I believe in family
I have a modern heart in an old-fashioned way
I have a modern heart in an old-fashioned way
