Paciente

Patient
I enter my room
And kneel near the bed
I leave here my tired heart
And call upon the one who loves me so much
This doctor by my side can't resist
A sincere heart that prays and insists
That prays and insists
Up there is a doctor
Who heals soul, body, and mind
We just need to be patient
Being in the waiting room hurts
And almost always we are alone
And sometimes it seems dark
But, it's when finally
We meet Doctor Jesus
I believe and trust
With patience I wait
My tired heart
And my limited body
I surrender everything
What I don't understand
Hurts me or went wrong
Where it hurts, the Lord knows
And doesn't even need an appointment
Knows even what I hide
And when I cry and no one else listens
You are the doctor of doctors
And I am your patient
Heal my soul
Heal my body and mind
You are the doctor of doctors
And I am your patient
And even if I go to bed
And my body wears out
May it remain in my chest
Certainty that is enough for me
That all light
And momentary pain
Does not compare
To what was reserved
For those who
Placed all hope and love in You
Because He, without deserving
Already carried the burdens on Himself
Took my sins for me
Humbled by our fault
Crushed by our iniquity
Pierced by our transgressions
And the punishment that was upon Him
Authorizes us to peace
And through these wounds
Today we are healed
Finally I learned
The meaning of suffering
All tribulation
Makes my heart
More humble for You
And causes liberation for me
