Paisaje Agreste

Rugged Landscape
From the cement to the earth I will go to the mountains to find you
And in the silent afternoon give you my chacarera
The wind came to greet me with its scent of tussocks
All this green amazes me dissipating my troubles
And in that absence life punishes with its truths
With this deep-rooted longing missing your evenings
Before my voice fades and the Sun meets me again
I will leave couplets and verses, my love and my songs
Rugged landscape hurt, forgotten workdays
Carries the sweat of the lumberjack lit in quebrachales
The Moon lights the way, with trails and saltpeter
Albigasteño is my river, waiting for me in solitudes
Walking alone destiny forces me to leave you
Marked footprints guide me, my path to anywhere
Before my voice fades and the Sun meets me again
I will leave couplets and verses, my love and my songs
