Um Rio
Márcio Faraco
A River
I wanted to go back
I wanted to be able
Rest my gaze
See you see me
I wanted to find
Nothing I recognized
I'll try to forget
Erase what I saw here
It's raining outside
The road is almost invisible
How to leave you like this
How to go away?
Every flower
Every bench in the square
Every window
Every glass, in the end
You left without leaving me
Living inside of me
The memory is better
It doesn't hurt as much nor has an end
It has no end
When the wind takes this rain away
And opens the way back
I will keep in my eyes
Only the murky waters of a river
From the place where I came from
So the longing doesn't die in the garden
