Minha Igreja
Marco Aurélio
My Church
A long time ago I bought a church
At the price of blood, at the price of pain
A long time ago I sent my son to rescue what was lost
A long time ago I've been desiring
This humble surrender of a worshipper
Who only bows before my presence and not to the offerings of a position
A long time ago I've been desiring
To show my image, which is that of love
Not to be confused among so many people, to be different as I am
Not to be divided as often entering into contentions and discussions
Trying to show to be better than the other
If in the universe I am the great I am
I want a church that gives me glory and seeks unity
I want a church that heals the wounded
That breaks the chains and frees the captive
Clarifies the confused mind and speaks the truth
I want a church that with its gaze
Transmits hope to the troubled soul
I want a church that heals the wounds of humanity
I want a flock where my sheep
Feel safe, full of peace
Where My word is their nourishment
There I want to dwell
I want a church that with its praise
Perfumes my throne, giving me a place
A church that knows how to differentiate between good and evil
Where is the church that was forgiven
That was released from the atrocious punishment?
The one that, upon seeing someone fallen
Reaches out a hand and grants forgiveness
Church, awaken, the time of your Redemption has come!
