Benedictus

Praised be the Lord, God of Israel
For he visited and redeemed for himself a people
He brought powerful salvation to us

What he once spoke through his prophets
What he announced to ancient generations
He fulfilled, he saved us from ourselves

And now I sing, yeah
Once silent and now I speak, oh
My heart did not believe
Everything he once spoke, he was faithful to fulfill

Mercy revealed to us
Freed our hearts from fear
To serve him with justice and holiness
Every day

He touched me
Jesus touched me
And filled my heart with peace
When the Lord Jesus touched me
He delivered me from the darkness
