They came to talk to me about a great love
I was so happy, I didn't want to listen
With time came the pain
They talked to me again and I understood

I lived in this world of illusion
Trying to be my own light
I lived alone amidst the crowd
Unable to carry my own cross

And when death arrived
I couldn't find a way out
I agonized with the pain
I saw myself outside of life
I went to seek help
From those who had none to give
That's when someone told me
I know who can help

Bleeding and crying, I walked
Without direction, no way back
My light fading away
And then I stopped
And someone sent someone to help me
An angel without wings to fly
But could carry my cross
And at the right time teach me
The right path to Jesus

And with Jesus I found myself
Healed my wounds
Freed me from sins
Put me back into life
If you need help
From someone who has none to give
For now I tell you
I know who can help
