Apesar de Tudo
Marcos Antônio
Despite Everything
Almost always, when I find myself down
I quickly take refuge at the foot of the Cross
And from there, with certain victory, I rise
The afflicted never return from Jesus without an answer
My enemies don't know my secret
How and in what way I am always a winner
Despite my failures, many of them unknown
Known in detail by my Lord
If I were judged and condemned by men
I would already be defeated, that would be it
Thank goodness He knows me intimately, He is my God
Who despite everything is with me every day
If I were judged and condemned by men
I would already be defeated, that would be it
Thank goodness He knows me intimately, He is my God
Who despite everything is with me every day
When I am desolate from oppression
And isolated, I don't speak to anyone
I retreat in prayer alone, kneeling
I feel a gentle balm that emerges
Sometimes it is necessary to go down first to rise
And to know the paths of forgetfulness
To let oneself be molded by the Great Potter
To be wounded and humiliated to be exalted
If I were judged and condemned by men
I would already be defeated, that would be it
Thank goodness He knows me intimately, He is my God
Who despite everything is with me every day, oh
If I were judged and condemned by men
I would already be defeated, that would be it
Thank goodness He knows me intimately, He is my God
Who despite everything is with me every day
Who despite everything is with me
Every day
Oh, my Father, is with me
