O Galileu
Marcos Antônio
The Galilean
When I think of ancient Galilee
That once appeared in history
I remember a very simple Man
Who lived there long ago as well
In the markets and temples of the cities
Through the villages of rich and common men
He walked teaching and preaching
He was known as the Galilean
This man had His serene eyes
His voice deeply touched hearts
His hands healed the poor sick
Who expelled the terrible legions
This man who raised the dead
Wonders He did and still does
In Galilee, He was a poor pilgrim
This divine being is the Prince of Peace
Galilean
I see the humble Galilean carrying the cross
To save suffering sinners like me
And dispel the darkness with His light
Galilean
Who on Golgotha opened His arms
For His blood shed on the wood
He is the Lamb and in Him we have peace with God
Nowadays we have the joy
Of living in the dispensation of faith
Of this man who lived in Galilee
And was called Jesus of Nazareth
In Judea He began His ministry
Spreading the seed of forgiveness
To pour on us the refreshment
Of His wonderful salvation
Galilean
I see the humble Galilean carrying the cross
To save suffering sinners like me
And dispel the darkness with His light
Galilean
Who on Golgotha opened His arms
For His blood shed on the wood
He is the Lamb and in Him we have peace with God
Galilean
I see the humble Galilean carrying the cross
To save suffering sinners like me
And dispel the darkness with His light
Galilean
Who on Golgotha opened His arms
For His blood shed on the wood
He is the Lamb and in Him we have peace with God
Galilean, Galilean
He is the Lamb and in Him we have peace with God
(Galilean, Galilean)
He is the Lamb and in Him we have peace with God
