As Três Coroas

The Three Crowns
A crown of gold that shone
On the head of a very famous king who wore it
Today it only adorns the museum showcase
For this king who possessed his empires
Suffered from an illness, and his condition was so serious
He despised his golden crown and then died
A beautiful crown of an athlete
Who won many competitions and achieved his goals
But over time, this athlete grew old
And already without strength, without vigor, without energy
He no longer remembers the strong man he once was
He also despised his beautiful crown and died
But in the corner, a crown of thorns
Removed by someone from a thornbush along the way
Still bears the marks of the blood of the righteous man who wore it
For the one who wore this crown of thorns
Died, resurrected, today He reigns alone
He is the King of my life, He is Jesus, the Savior
Today, thinking about the story of the three crowns
The gold one, the athlete's, the thorns, and it resonates
On my lips the question: Of these three, which is worth more?
And so, thinking once again about this story
Certainly the crown of thorns has more glory
Through the blood, among the thorns, Christ gave us victory
But in the corner, a crown of thorns
Removed by someone from a thornbush along the way
Still bears the marks of the blood of the righteous man who wore it
For the one who wore this crown of thorns
Died, resurrected, today He reigns alone
He is the King of my life, He is Jesus, the Savior
He is the King of my life, He is Jesus, the Savior
He is the King of my life, He is Jesus, the Savior
He is the King of my life, He is Jesus, the Savior
