Abrão e Isaque
Marcos Aurelio
Abraham and Isaac
One day, in Beersheba, he set out for Moriah
An old man taking a silent boy to ponder
No one knew the mystery
They only followed his steps
But they knew the old man was a friend of God
The day was ending, so they stopped to rest
And the next dawn, they continued walking
Old Abraham without fear, knowing how great God is
He went to meet God to prove his faith
Three days passed, and they finally arrived
At the appointed place where his faith would be tested
The servants stayed behind, and taking the boy, he went
Leaving the certainty that they would return
Isaac walked ahead, graceful even in his steps
Perhaps Abraham, at that moment, began to cry
Isaac asked: My father, where is the lamb?
My son, God will provide the Lamb for Himself!
He will provide, He will provide, my son
God will provide the Lamb for Himself!
He will provide, He will provide, my son
God will provide the Lamb for Himself!
Old Abraham carefully prepared the altar
Arranging the wood for the fire to catch
He took the boy, tied him, laid him on the altar
A sharp knife was in his hand
Old Abraham, by faith in God's plan, did not run away
He was willing to fulfill what God asked of him
But then the angel cried out: Do not harm your son
For now I know that you fear God!
He will provide, He will provide, brother the victory for you
God will provide!
He will provide, He will provide, brother the victory for you
God will provide!
