Terra De Ninguém
Marcos Valle
Land of No One
Keep walking this sad march
Your troubled path
Only carries memories and the injustice
That’s been done to you since you were born
By a world that gave you nothing
Keep going, your road is long
Full of uncertainty
Everything is just poverty, everything is just sadness
Everything is dead land
Where the land is good
The landlord owns it
Doesn’t let it pass
Stops at the end of the afternoon
Already tired
The Northeasterner falls
Says a prayer
To come back one day
And gather the courage
To fight for what’s yours
But, one day will come
When the world will know
You can’t live without giving
Those who work are the ones who have
The right to live
Because the land belongs to no one
