A Ti La Gloria
Marcos Vidal
To You the Glory
What would become of us if you hadn't made the sun? What would become of us without the light or the warmth?
We are fragile creatures in Your unmatched world
Where do we go if Your hand doesn't stop the storm?
And yet we are capable of forgetting Your love
Rising with pride and without reason
I want to give you with my song what few give you today
To You the glory, only to You the honor
We are so intelligent in our own opinion
(and it continues the same as the previous stanza)
Yet so small before You, oh Lord
You see our limitations that make us fail
And slowly you restore us
And make the sun shine again
And sometimes we pretend in our imagination
To be the great protagonist of the action
Ignoring Your presence, Your care, and Your love
To You the glory, only to You the honor
In my own life I see the trace of Your love
That moment by moment has guided me, oh Lord
I wouldn't want to be so foolish to forget the great pain
That you suffered because of me offering me forgiveness
And if I ever rise with pride and pretension
Trying to be the author myself
Make me see your wounded body and shame me, Lord
To You the glory, only to You the honor
Make us see Your wounded body and shame us, Lord
To You the glory, only to You the honor
