Mi Regalo

My Gift
They are not many but God placed them there,
a little closer, He gave them to me,
to help me understand a little more
the caliber of the love from my heavenly Father.
They are not many, but there are no better ones on earth,
without fear of lions in the arena.
Just waiting for someone to protect me,
even if the price is higher, they are friends,
and I don't have to give names or surnames...
... because they already know they are referred to.
They are not many but God placed them there,
foreigners of another stature, so unusual here,
who respect and scold me at the same time,
and love me as I am, even though they know me well.
They are close, it's not easy to deceive them,
because they carry my wounds and miseries in their chest,
and they never throw in my face what they have done,
even when they have a reason,
they are friends, there's no need to give their names or surnames...
... because they know they are referred to more than enough.
They are not many but God placed them there,
relentless pilgrims, ivory fighters,
strangers with homesickness for home,
in their foreheads the sun shines, in their hands there's always bread...
...and on their lips
there's no deceit or betrayal because they are seals,
and I have never seen more beautiful drones,
nor have I laughed so much, as I have with them,
even in the midst of pain,
they are friends,
and I don't want to give their names or surnames...
...they know it and they understand.
