El Día Viene

The Day Comes
I know it's not easy to see it now with all those people around
Who suffer and cry, but you'd do well if you believed me because spring has begun
To awaken. This is not the story
That lies to comfort you, this sunrise that is on its way is very different
The river will fill with water again and hearts will burn, melting the cold
And you won't find any tears on your face
You will see the rainbow again, the music will play again
And the voices of joy will be heard, spreading life in the city
Hands will join towards the sky without looking at race or color
Nations will lay down their weapons, forging plows under the Sun
The wolf and the lamb will play under the same roof, they will sleep
Among a thousand myrtles and oleanders, and they will wake up in the sunlight
Children will run through the field, they will laugh under the stars
And you will dance in the rain, singing songs of love and freedom
Paada pa'pa pada pa paadia
Pabada
Paada pa pa pada pa paaaaa
Lift your gaze towards the mountain
Because your help is coming over the horizon
Any day now a cloud
Will surprise you and your fears will dissolve
We will see the king and upon seeing him
We will know. He will bring us in his hands
Healing for the nations, the world will make sense again
Because his gaze will guide the way once more
And humanity will surrender to the evidence
And every knee will bow, every tongue will confess
Those who pierced him will weep
And those who loved him will smile
He will establish a new order where justice will shine
He will erase the memory of the past, healing all wounds
And a thousand doves will fly in the sky, nesting above your head
The young will dwell in the forest, unafraid of the hawk
I will ride by your side
When the day breaks upon you
And when your eyes behold it
Look at it and remember me
Paada pa'pa pada pa paadia
Pabada
Paada pa pa pada pa paaaaa
And a thousand doves will fly in the sky, nesting above your head
The young will dwell in the forest, unafraid of the hawk
I will ride by your side when the day breaks upon you
And when your eyes behold it, look at it and remember me
I know it's not easy to see it now with all those people around
Who suffer and cry, but you'd do well if you believed me because spring has begun to awaken
