Amor Temporero

Temporary Love
I get brave and tell you,
that you have eyes like olive fruit,
that no, cousin, I go with the sun
and I swear you don't wake up with me,
I want it to stay and climb to the rooftop,
with one eye open and the other half-closed,
to see if my sorrows and I fall into some wasteland,
I climb as best I can,
squinting, with sweaty hands,
as soon as I said 'I love you',
you were already snoring, dreaming again,
I get encouraged and decide,
'I know you'll be my girl, that you'll marry me'
annoying, you're annoying,
I tell you again,
I'll leave whenever I want and forget you whenever I want,
I've written you one of those clingy poems,
I want sunrises with you by my side,
she closes the door on me, anything
they call a poet,
If it's true, I better say goodbye,
dawn catches me crying,
rocks me and says she's gone
so I don't suffer,
that I sleep peacefully,
I don't want your temporary love,
your icy flow, your desire to lose,
even though I know if you leave I'll be left with nothing,
I won't fall, I won't screw myself over,
because I know the day and the sun are lurking
to screw me over and tell me,
'What are you going to do with your shitty poems
without their smell, without their skin?'
I'll milk the moon's udders and as soon as it dawns
I, with shovel and pick, will dose out the sun.
