Sadness never ends
Happiness does
Happiness is like a drop
Of dew on a flower petal
It shines so calm
Then gently sways
And falls like a tear of love
The happiness of the poor seems
Like the grand illusion of carnival
We work all year long
For a moment of dreams
To create the fantasy
Of a king or a pirate or a gardener
Only for it to end on Wednesday
Sadness never ends

Happiness is like a feather
That the wind carries through the air
It flies so light
But has a short life
It needs the wind to keep blowing
My happiness is dreaming
In the eyes of my girlfriend

Passing, passing
In search of dawn
