La Casita
Maria de Lourdes
The Little House
Where do I come from, friend?
From a little house I have
Below the wheat field
A tiny little house
For a beautiful woman
Who wants to accompany me
In the front, there are some grapevines
Where the cicadas sing
And the Sun turns into dust
There's a porch in the front
In the garden, a fountain
And in the fountain, a snail
Ivy covers it
And there's a jasmine in the orchard
That already covered the walls
In the porch, a hammock
In the yard, a cow
And inside, my dog and I
Under a bouquet that covers her
The Virgin of Guadalupe
Is in the living room when you enter
She takes care of me when I sleep
Watches over me when I'm sick
And helps me harvest
Further inside is the bed
Very fragrant with broom
Clean like you
I also have a wardrobe
A mirror and a canary
That I bought at the fair
Well, even though it's beautiful
My little house is very cool
I feel something when I see it
I've got it in my head
That there's a lot of sadness there
I think because you're missing
I'm missing something there
Very small and very cute
More or less like you
So the canary can sing to you
Put clothes in the wardrobe
And learn what I know
If you want, I invite you
To visit that nest
That's below the wheat field
I'll set up the chair for Lucero
Who will take us quickly
To the middle of the cow pasture
And if the night catches us
And there's a storm that wets us
Have trust in God
In a small and strange house
We won't lack a trick
To live there together
Well, even though it's beautiful
My little house is very cool
I feel something when I see it
I've got it in my head
That there's a lot of sadness there
I think because you're missing
