Não Vale A Pena
Maria Rita
Not Worth It
It became difficult
All that, none of this
My old habit of dreaming remained
Jumping from cliff to cliff
Bones of the trade
Paying to see the invisible
And then seeing
It's not worth it
But you're not worth it
Not worth a sting of this pain
Doesn't fit as a rhyme in a poem
So small
But it comes and goes and poisons
And condemns me to resentment
Suddenly, the level drops
And I feel like a fool
Repeating, repeating, repeating
Like a scratched record
The old worn-out text
Of poorly loved lovers
Of poorly lived loves
And the terror of being left
Poking, remembering, reopening
The same old wound
And it's to avoid a relapse
That I don't let myself forget
It's not worth it
But you're not worth it
