Caged Birds
When I get out of this, I'll run to find you
I'll tell you with my eyes how much I miss you
I'll save in a little jar all the hugs, the kisses
For when sorrow and fear tie the soul
I'll stand before my grandmother and on my knees
I'll ask for forgiveness for the times I neglected her
We'll toast to those who left without goodbye
Again, again
But while the birds circle the nest houses
A radiant spring advances stealthily
I've mended my torn fabrics with needle and thread
I've looked at myself, valued myself, I've lived
We are caged birds
Eager to fly
Forgetting that in this haven
Life also passes by
When the cages burn
And the curtain rises again
Always remember the lesson
And this will be a better world
When I get out of this, I'll run to applaud you
I'll smile, thank those who take care of me
No one will dare to mock what's important
The quality of healthcare will be untouchable
I won't get so angry with those who spread hate
It's time for others' and our own matters to be equally important
Spread my desire to live and all my joy
Build, build
But while the sky and the earth enjoy a breather
The little animals reconquer lost corners
I've slowly drunk a glass of wine alone
I've flown with a book, I've lived
We are caged birds
Eager to fly
Forgetting that in this haven
Life also passes by
When the cages burn
And the curtain rises again
Always remember the lesson
And this will be a better world
When I get out of this, I'll run to hug you
