Guiding Star
If I stray from the path of humility and respect
Let my old man's advice ring in my ear
And I can return just in time
When I toast with my shadow because I miss a friend
The sorrows and the taste of the wine will not be the same
I will be a nomad along the way
If I fill my pockets and my soul empties
That brick by brick I prefer to make my home
And my life will be lucky
I will follow my guiding star even if the skies become cloudy
I will walk through this life as my old man used to say
To reach to turn on the light of a dream
If those guitars of the soul are silent in my chest
Let the elves of the morning star hail the sounds of zamba
And they burn my whole soul like this
When I come back for payment and I don't feel at home
Let me lose myself in the renewing embrace of my childhood
Because by being what I was I will have hope
If we want to see tomorrow in the eyes of children
Let us channel this river to the seeds sown
The harvest will be assured
I will follow my guiding star even if the skies become cloudy
I will walk through this life as my old man used to say
To reach to turn on the light of a dream
