Guiding Star
If I stray from the path of humility and respect
Let the advice of my old man ring in my ears
And may I be able to return just in time
When I toast with my shadow because I lack a friend
The sorrows and the taste of wine won't be the same
I will be a wanderer on the road
If I fill my pockets and my soul empties
I prefer to build my dwelling brick by brick
And my life will be fortunate
I will follow my guiding star even if the skies cloud over
I will walk through this life as my old man used to say
To reach the light of a dream
If the guitars of the soul fall silent in my chest
May the elves of the evening star play zamba tunes
And may my soul burn completely
When I return to my homeland and don't feel at home
May I lose myself in the renewing embrace of my childhood
Because I will have hope for the hill I once was
If we want to see tomorrow in the eyes of children
Let's channel this river to the seeds sown
The harvest will be assured
I will follow my guiding star even if the skies cloud over
I will walk through this life as my old man used to say
To reach the light of a dream
