Un Inocente Juego
Marilina Ross
An Innocent Game
Once upon a time there was a girl
on the corner of my childhood
who liked to play
pretending to form a band
"come on, I'm the piano..."
"and I'm the drums..."
and in freedom the music grew.
But unfortunately
those who know heard us
and wanted to pigeonhole our game.
They handed out instruments
put a teacher on us
and taught us to play...
To play Antón Pirulero
and each one attend to their game
and whoever doesn't will have a forfeit.
And that innocent game
remains engraved here.
And that band was
split into opposing sides.
Some of us go to Berlin-Berlin
to fulfill our forfeits
and the others perfect
the "every man for himself".
Enough of Antón Pirulero
I want to attend to your game and my game
I seek a game common to the whole world.
