A good while ago his pretty guaina looked for a job
she wrote saying that,
she's a good person where did she go.
But so much absence became an omen
and he came to look for her, leafed through a letter,
knocked on a door in Cambá Cuá.
Here she no longer lives, she got a little house
in a new neighborhood, she got together with a young man
who used to dance on Sundays.
He apologized, bought a ticket
and silently got off in the town
and told no one about his pain.
And he stayed with his chamameceros friends
breaking above his voice
like a lament from the heart.
He formed a group that bears the name
'Pain and Forgetfulness'
animates dances and is known in the region.
(Same as the 1st Part)
Years passed, the lime dressed
the town in white, the locals
with a perfume to fall in love.
He was performing
when suddenly he saw her
he forgot the lyrics and left the stage in a sapukay.
CHORUS
And he stayed with his chamameceros friends
breaking above his voice
like a lament from the heart.
And he is seen in the dim light of an old ranch
'Pain and Forgetfulness' rehearsing
every bit of his love pain.
