Olas Y Arenas

Waves and Sands
I am the sand, lying on the beach
Envying other sands that are close to the sea
You are the immense wave that almost touches me when it comes,
But you always return back.
And the times you spill over damp sand
Thinking this time you will touch me
As you come so close but then
You retreat and get lost in the vastness of the sea.
I am the sand that the wave never touches
And that lies alone in its suffering on the beach.
You are the wave that wraps yourself in the mist
And dissolves in the foam, drifting away from me.
