Ritualitos
Marta Gómez
Little Rituals
Little music that comes out of my soul
With words that someone dictates to me from another voice
Little rituals that one has to live
And to keep singing under this sun
And when I least think about the reasons
They sprout like truths illuminating my heart
The silence of a friend made me learn
To listen to what words will never say
And holding onto their hand I could understand
That an afternoon can last an eternity
And it's when suddenly their gaze
Makes me forget for a moment how far I came to give.
Ay lala...
A little sadness that comes out of my soul
Trying to paint memories in a different color
Little rituals that one invents to live
A story, a lost place, and this song
And it's when suddenly your presence,
Comes to fill with absence,
To fill my loneliness with verses...
Ay lala...
